About Us
We are a small kennel that is dedicated to the preservation of the Alapaha.  This is a rare breed that was almost extinct at one time and with the efforts of some great people is still around today.

We were first introduced to the breed in early 2009. We were looking localy to adopt a bully of our choosing when we came across info on the Alapahas, after reading about the history of the breed and their general temperment we were sold.

I have two small children, a 4 yr old and a 11 month old and I couldn't feel safer with any other breed.  My gentle giant is more a babysitter sometimes than a "gaurd" dog.

My first Encounter with an Alapaha

I am sharing this story as a testiment to finding that perfect dog.

The first time I saw ICE.

We met eachother for the first time in Ohio, after driving the 14 hours up there from Alabama, my first impression was amazing I had been around other types of bulldogs before and never been able to approach them as easy as him. He greeted me happily with the wag of his tail and an enormous lick to the side of my face. His temperment was perfect.

After the general meet and greet we decided to get him from his previous owner and away we went. A very long and rainy 18 hour trip back down to South Alabama.  With him not being familiar with me I was a little concerned with what might happen at the rest stops and how he would take being approached after sitting in the car with me for so long. But he was fine. At the rest stops we breezed through with not a concern in the world and the trip was rather enjoyable. In a matter of 18 hours I had made a life long friend that to this day does not leave my side unless pinned.

We have ventured Petsmart, the local Park and everywhere else I am allowed to take him, he even drives with me everyday to Daycare to see my kids off to school.

I eventually found his original breeder and have kept up her ever since.

If God can give you a gift that will make everyday a treat Ice was mine.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to his breeder and to the lady in Ohio who gave him up.

You have made my life a better one.
